Rialytix profiles are built from information reported by firms through SEC/IAPD filings. Profile confirmation provides an additional signal that an RIA employee has directly confirmed the firm's profile information or latest Form ADV with Rialytix. Participation is free and available to every RIA.
1. What the badge means
Gold: Profile confirmed by the firm.Rialytix has reviewed the sender's affiliation with the firm, received confirmation of the profile information or latest Form ADV, and manually recorded that confirmation.
Gray: Profile not yet confirmed by the firm.Profile information remains sourced from the firm's SEC/IAPD filings, but the firm has not yet confirmed those details directly with Rialytix.
Gray indicates confirmation status only. It does not mean the profile information is inaccurate.
2. How confirmation works
- An internal employee contacts Rialytix with their name, role, firm name, and CRD number, using a company email address where available.
- Rialytix reviews the sender's email address and domain alongside the firm's public website, regulatory filings, or other publicly listed contact information to help confirm their affiliation.
- The employee confirms the profile information or latest Form ADV and identifies any corrections needed. Rialytix may follow up by email, request a relevant filing or supporting source, or contact the firm through a publicly listed channel to clarify the request.
- Once the affiliation and information being confirmed are sufficiently established, Rialytix manually updates the badge. If further clarification is needed, the profile remains unconfirmed until the review is completed.
A company email address alone does not automatically qualify a firm for a gold badge. If the email domain does not clearly match the firm, additional communication may be needed to establish the sender's affiliation.
No payment, subscription, or sponsorship is required.
3. Scope and timing
Confirmation reflects the profile information or latest Form ADV reviewed at the time of confirmation. Later filings or changes at the firm may cause the information displayed on Rialytix to change.
Routine SEC/IAPD data updates do not automatically award or remove a badge. The badge reflects whether the firm has completed the Rialytix confirmation process, not whether the underlying regulatory filing is considered accurate.
The badge is not an endorsement, investment recommendation, independent audit, or assessment of performance or regulatory compliance. It does not represent SEC approval.
